Gama is a Traditional Korean Diner (밥집) with a focus on “SOTBAP” (솥밥) Korean Pot Rice served on a Tray (반상).
Sotbap is cooked in the metal pot it is served in, a choice of toppings are topped on the rice and served on a tray (반상) with assorted banchan. While the Pot Rice is heated the mineral elements spread the heat evenly and minimises the breakdown of nutrients while cooking the rice so evenly to give an incredibly delicious taste and glutinous texture. While cooking the rice in the metal pot it leaves scorched rice (nurungji) on the edges which is eaten later with some warm water as dessert.
